National Police Remembrance Day is held on 29 September every year.
The Foundation first launched Blue Ribbon Day in 1999, after the outpouring of community support for Senior Constable Rodney Miller and Sergeant Gary Silk who were tragically killed on 16 August 1998.
This date honours the dedicated police officers who have died serving their community. It also allows Victoria Police and the community to pay their respects to Victoria Police employees who have lost their lives over the last 12 months through illness or other circumstances.
Harcourts Rata & Co would like to pay our respects and give thanks for the dedication and sacrifice to all Victorian Police Officers and their families, today and every day.
